optimism and economy

I'm in a good mood , not that you paticularly care ,

but , im sure , the next moment would be good , tomorrow would be much better (considering tommorrow is my sports day, its really saying something) .Day after would be even better , life will go on , its good , its nice , happy happy .Yes tomorrow will come , if i die now , the world will be rid , of a lot of fuel , and wood , (im hindu),

If only the world was as optimistic as i am ,we would be a hell of a lot richer , we would all be a hell of a ot happier ,(yes even you , the pessimist) , we would have a lot more water (remember the glass half full) .

Technically speaking , we have everything to be happy about , a lot . Its just that you probably dont realise it .

If you can talk to your girl friend (boyfriend, no gender bias , just im a guy !)whenever you wish , your a lot better of than someone who doesn't get to speak to the one person whom he/she wants to speak to the most.

If you get to read this , be happy , your getting access to the internet , much better than someone who is not allowed to come within a mile from a computer , let alone operate it .

Now , why am i going on about shit that doesn't concern me ?

precisely , this is the most ideal question .

But , i love economics (again totally unrelated youll think) , but economists love to comment on things(again unrelated......) id like to think of myself as one (get it ???).

So how exactly does your perspective influence the wealth of nations and your wealth.

Well, its a profound theory ,

Okay , let me ask you , when do you shop the most .

For a majority its diwali time , where people dont like their account balance and would love to diminish it (totally your choice mate) . But why diwali ?? Ever asked yourself that question ?

Its not that after diwali laxmi ji will swoop down over you and shower you with unthinkable wealth{she may (i m an optimist remember)not ruling that out :)} and you have to finish off your money before she comes .

There are two reasons why youll spend ,

1. Because its a stereotype , read , everyone is buyiong (following the age old indian tradition of walking the beaten track)youll also buy
2. Because your happy . No diwali doesnt fill you up with joy , its just the atmosphere (not the blanket of air surrounding the earth) your happy , everyone is in a festive mood , almost like your on a high, so you dont count pennies .

Now , basically , you buy when your happy , and research shows that your happy , when something good is about to happen , or you expect something good to happen , which again leads us back to optimism .

Now , the more we spend , the more money is put into circulation , production is increased ,

more people are employed , when more people are employed , there is more money to go around , read more money with more people ,

money is not really any use to anyone when lots of it is with one man who doesn't spend it .

So ,when more money is in circulation , then the buying power of the nation in general grows , the economy grows , when the economy grows , then you get more money , and it this is how it grows .

But this is a bubble ....... sadly ,

on my bloody last day , id like to spend time with my family friends and my love

we re all going to go one day , it may be now , while im writing this blog , it may be tommorrow , while , i pound the streets in the most ungodly hour possibly , the roof may just fall .
or i may last to be hundred years old , teaching my grandchildren about philosophy .

you are locking yourself in chains , and throwing the keys in the well , deeper than the eyes , the bottom cannot be seen .
You d get into iit , you may get a crore a year , you may get the most pretty wife in the world , is this success , is this happiness ,
what about yourself , have you ever tried to do something for yourself , stop starving yourselves , the world doesn't require a soul starved generation. economies may reach unprecedented heights , people may be able to wipe their shit with 500 rs bills ,
my question to you is , are you happy .
why does a childs smile fill us with unquestioned happiness , why do we feel so light ?

social stigma , break it open men , be couragous , be brave and have a gut strong enough to break free , have you ever thought how we are ever going to progress ,
how do you think we reached so far .
damnit , if someone says it can't be done , that person has actually made it possible .
let every taunt fill you with fire , let every criticism bite soo deep , that you feel the pain eternally , work to eradicate the bites the pains , the pangs of jealousy ,


what did you ever achieve , by studying so much , do you actually remember it after a year .

my friends , life is not the successes you have achieved , the pinnacles you have reached , or the new levels that you have taken society to, or how badly you have failed ,

life if you are not nothing but a hollow shell , is what is in your mind , your memories ,
remember in 6th grade , when you had your first crush , when your heart felt soo light , you could almost fly.
do you remember the marks you got in 5th grade , ?
its not that , in the end , we all are a part of the earth , we are one with it , with the sky , with the earth , fire , water , its all in ous , we are in it .

Hey , how are you doing ?
Hope everything s alright .Hope you haven't been fired or rather to use the politically correct term , be a victim of excessive downsizing being carried out by the major multinationals today .Well , its doubtful , that your any of these , in fact , the people who are actually being affected by this crisis , whose life its changing don't seem to be speaking too much , they re just content with , holding their heads and lamenting at god , or if your an atheist , lamenting at the global meltdown .But i am an eternal optimist , nothing really gets me down for too long .
And for a change to anything you would be actually reading in the papers for a few days , this meltdown is actually a blessing in disguise . Why ???
No , i am no sadist , who loves to see people killing themselves , and neither do i glean pleasure from the pain that is being caused to others , no truly i do not , only my words are caustic , my intent is far from that .
Think of the global meltdown as being given a new lease on life , think of it , as being given a new lump of clay , think of it as a start , not as an end .
Yes agreed , companies are losing millions and millions of dollars every day , all over the world , people have lost their means of lively hood , but , to those , who have not grasped the essential facts of economics right , money is like energy in physics , it can neither be created , nor can it be destroyed , it can only be changed from one form to another . Money in this world is constant ,
there is a deficit of funds , it doesn't mean that the money has gone for a trip to outer space , it only means that people are not exchanging money like they did . Every one profits only if , money passes hands , the more business there is , the more "money " that's is being made , the better it is for the general good . How ever if money doesn't flow , if it just stops , then basically , there is hoarding of cash , people don't buy goods , or services , they would like to keep their money safe with them in the bank vaults , but who actually gains from all this ?
Let me tell you this , if you don't push that money around , nobody is going to lose except for you . The value of the money in the bank locker would actually end up decreasing , it wont increase , and even though the "volume" of money in your possession remains constant , there would be a steady decline in the "value" of the money .
So , if this were to be simplified , when you hoard , then you don't gain , you lose.

Welcome .

Since this is my first blog post , Id like to start the first one with my title i.e the lantern bearer .Do i think that i am so arrogant so as to call myself a giver or light ? Or am i just plain simple in order to BELIEVE that i can enlighten my peers , colleagues , people who live their lives around me . NO .I fear , i have a slightly more complicated than that.

Enlightening the masses is a tough job , one too tough for my simple existance.

Id rather leave that job to all the great "enlightened" leaders that my motherland India is blessed with . The job of spreading the light is a form of altruism that i care not to indulge in .Don't get me wrong , I keep my stand and go as far as to say that our leaders indulge in something much more greater than just altruism, their primary focus is not self sacrifice for the service of the masses , but service of the self . I bow to these illustrious men and women , for they are performing the greatest duty that can be performed by any individual , they are carrying out the highest form of charity , they are servicing the nation , they are actually steaming it ahead .Not conciously i assure you but then how do they precisely do it ?

Here i would like to use a reference to a certain author whose profound thoughts actually fuelled my to choose this particular title . I am referring to a particular Adam Smith , whom i consider the father of modern economics .

Our politician s are carrying out exactly what is essential for all of us , they are servicing their self .Yes , service of self is indeed the greatest.I am referring to the "invisible hand" that is talked of in the "wealth of nations".I bow to you , oh you mighty men .You are gods beyond all .

I am a mere boy , just a mere human , my thoughts may not be the same as yours , the more varied they are , the better it is , individuality , is the biggest illusion that man lives in .

How i plan to be a lantern bearer and spread the light ?

Its something much more selfish , which is actually the most selfless thing i could do , i want to shroud myself in darkness and observe everything . No ,i would not be hidden , i would not cease to be a part of this world and just observe it , i would partake in the activities , but i would be passive , for my fellow men , its about time , that you became active,.
